Pieskowa Skała

Sands of time,
Centuries pass by,
And yet these castles stand,
Merged into rock,
A seamless forge,
The colours flow,
The rocks they stand,
The castles they stand.

I walk across this open square,
Coated with snow these benches are,
Below the parapet has a garden grown,
And across, a forest rises on
And as the trees bid their evening in,
For they have stood, lived & watched,
As a castle lived, a countless lives.

The snow it melts,
And the sun it sets,
The castle it stands,
And now time it stops,
My breath I hold,
For time has paused,
In motion all lies suspended.

The lives which kissed these stony walls,
Must have watched as nature moved
For nature it moves in time it creates,
And nature it calls when time permits,
But here the life, is in love and stillness,
For beauty and purity both breed life,
Pieskowa Skała has stunned my soul,
And to the next now I must go.
